MoD.Handgun.1
SUMMARY:
New for 2023: MoD.Handgun.1—Retake. Clearly you prefer to be challenged rather than patronized. That's a good thing, because armed self-defense is a challenging topic, and any watered-down instruction is less than you want, less than you and your loved ones deserve.
MoD.Handgun.1 was meant to push you, to help you excel—whether it was your first class or your twenty-first. We appreciate that you have trusted us to drive you a little, and we are always overjoyed when inevitably you rise to meet the challenges we set before you on class day. But we also recognize that even the best students may benefit from a refresher, a second look at the material, another chance to try out that new skill. And since these skills are new for some and perishable for all, we are committed to standing by you while you learn!
If your active mind keeps working on the subject matter from MoD.Handgun.1, we encourage and invite you to come back again for MoD.Handgun.1—Retake.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
MoD.Handgun.1—Retake (“HG.1.R” or simply “Retake”) is a new concept that will take effect on January 1, 2023. It is meant to encourage previous attendees of MoD.Handgun.1 (“HG.1”) to repeat the class for only a few dollars. In launching this concept, we will try to avoid red tape as much as possible, but we do need to clarify our plan and pin a couple of asterisks on it.
So here’s the plan.
As of January 1, 2023, for each scheduled session of HG.1, we have added four seats for HG.1.R. These will be available on a first-come, first-served basis (at least for now).
If you attended HG.1 in 2021 or 2022…
-
As a sign of gratitude to our Legacy students, you are automatically eligible for Retake through December 31, 2024!
-
After December 31, 2024, if you wish to reset your access to Retake, you may do so by signing up for HG.1 again.
If you attend HG.1 after January 1, 2023…
-
You will be eligible for HG.1.R for two years after the date of your HG.1 class.
-
After two years, if you wish to reset your access to Retake, you may do so by signing up for HG.1 again.
-
For any Retake session in which you anticipate needing the attorney to sign your Idaho Training Certificate of Completion, an additional charge of $25 shall apply. This fee must be paid up front and is non-refundable—without regard to whether you achieve the grade of “PASS” or not.
Now, here are the asterisks.
-
HG.1.R privileges are non-transferable.
-
Unless you have obtained prior authorization from Ministry of Defense, all HG.1.R students will be expected to attend the entire session, including classroom, legal, and range portions.
-
We reserve the following rights...
-
To place a limit on the number of times a student may attend HG.1.R.
-
To deny access to HG.1.R for any student who has, in our judgment, exhibited chronic safety deficiencies requiring remedial intervention, in any prior MoD training.
-
To deny access to HG.1.R for any student who has, in our judgment, exhibited carelessness, recklessness, non-compliance, or belligerence in any prior MoD training.
